Wednesday, April 22 (continued):
Prior to departing Bellingham Castle, we made a group picture at the front door. We met our tour manager - Phil Dargan. In talking about what folks would call us, I said, "They could call me by my middle name - Anthony." It was then we discovered that we had the same middle name! Hard to believe!
On the way to Cabra Castle, we were dropped off in Carrickmacross. Some went for lunch. Others went shopping. After purchasing apples and pears at a Market, I went to a local butcher shop. Talking with the owner, he wanted to show me how fresh the meats are that were sold at his shop(see pic below). I then went for a Guinness at the Cunningham Bar. After the Guinness, I made my way to the Carrickmacross Lace Shop, then walked to St. Joseph's Church.

After an hour-and-a-half, the motor coach picked us up and we went to Cabra Castle. We checked in - made our way through the Castle (narrow staircases and twists and turns). A few of us gathered for a time of wine and conversation. A couple from San Francisco joined us.

At 6:30 p.m. we gathered for dinner. We met fellow travelers. The menu was the following:
Cabra Castle Caesar Salad, Cream of Curried Parsnip & Sweet Potato Soup, a choice of the following: Prime Sirloin of Irish Beef au Jus, Char-grilled supreme of Irish Chicken, Baked Filet of Seabass, or Stuffed Pepper. This was served with a medley of seasonal vegetables and potatoes. For dessert we had fresh strawberry cheesecake. The meal ended with coffee.

After dinner - we saw the sunset before making our way to the room for the night. I watched the movie - "Eat, Pray & Love" while putting this together. Time for bed. Tomorrow - Limerick!
